Velocity Championship Action
The main event of the evening featured a tag team bout between the Mortons and Brooks and Malik. This match was placed together by owner Terra Rae due to her forcing Malik and Brooks to team against their will.
Before the match could fully begin, Brooks and Malik could be seen arguing on the side of the ring about who’d start the match off. Brooks, more specifically, arrogantly told Malik to take notes and watch a real star in action.
Not allowing Brooks to get to him, Malik held his own by taking it to Cody Morton during the opening of the match, but Cody wouldn’t sit quietly as he fought back with some fancy moves of his own.
Brooks tagged himself in shortly afterwards and the two would begin arguing again as Malik didn’t agree with Brooks’ dirty antics.
Brooks and David Morton locked up next and the two showed no love for one another as they have a heated hatred towards one another. If one remembered, the two battled twice before this anniversary show.
Just as Brooks had done, Malik tagged himself in showing Brooks that he too could play games. Brooks yelled at Malik from the apron trying to get Malik to indulge in devious behavior, but Malik refused which led to David taking over the match.
Strangely enough, Brooks’ dirty ways turned out to be beneficial to Malik as the match took a hundred percent turnaround.
From this point, the match could’ve gone either way with Malik making the tag to Brooks and Cody making the tag to David. The two teams exchanged move for move, but in the end it was all Brooks and Malik. Brooks and Malik came out with the win when Brooks executed a victory roll on David and Malik held Cody back allowing Brooks to get the win.
Although Brooks and Malik came out with the win, the ending of the show would prove to be anything but good for the duo.
Brooks informed Malik that he was no help and if it hadn’t been for him they wouldn’t have won the match. Malik ignored Brooks and even tried handing Brooks his Juniorvative championship, but this only upset Brooks further as he told Malik not to ever touch his championship.
Brooks targeted Malik and quickly shoved Malik telling Malik to never touch his championship again. Well at this point Malik had taken all he could and quickly shoved back. The two began throwing haymakers and an army of wrestlers and officials entered from the back trying to separate the two.
Brooks announced that at VCA’s biggest show of the year Extravaganza on Sunday, December 27 he and TNA Impact Wrestling’s Dj Zema Ion will team once more to take on Malik a partner of his choice.
